What is Bricks by the Lake?

Bricks by the Lake is a fund-raising campaign sponsored by the Friends of Lake Quannapowitt. With your help, we will be able to renovate Col. Connelly Park and make the head of the lake a more beautiful and more welcoming place for all. Your support will be recognized with an engraved brick set into the new design of the park, where it will have a permanent place to be honored for generations.

Submit your Order:

To submit an order for Bricks by the Lake, download one of the following pdf forms and submit it using the instructions provided.

Inscription details:

Print clearly, as a copy will be set exactly as written. Use all CAPITAL letters. Spaces and hyphens are considered characters. There is no need for you to center your own lettering. This will be done automatically when bricks are engraved. The lettering is etched into the brick, followed by several coats of Lithichrome™ black, a pigment commonly used in the monument industry. All bricks are pavement-grade, which means that they are very resistant to both the elements and to typical pedestrian use. The selection committee reserves the right to refuse any inscription that is determined to be inappropriate for this project.

Costs:

Standard: 4 x 8 inch standard brick two lines of text 15 characters per line $100 *($25 additional for 3rd line)

Double: 8 x 8 inch square double-brick five lines of text 15 characters per line $250

Business/Institution: 8 x 8 inch square double-brick five lines of text 15 characters per line $500

If you would like to order a brick for a business or institution, please instead download this form, and follow the instructions provided. Business bricks are meant to complement the public spirit of the park; they are not appropriate for advertising products or services.

Complete your order:

Once we have received your order form and payment, a brick keepsake certificate representing each of your personalized brick inscriptions will be sent to you acknowledge your order. This can be framed or presented to someone as a special gift. Please note – all bricks will be placed randomly throughout the project. We cannot guarantee special positioning due to the nature of the project.

This project is sponsored by the Friends of Lake Quannapowitt, which is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The purchase of your brick is therefore tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
